You either put vegetable oil on it and spread it around or you get a cooking oil spray and spray the inside of the pan.

In some cases, however, you will have better results with vegetable shortening, or butter. Oil will be absorbed by bread dough, for instance, which may then stick to the pan.

I always use butter and flour instead of crisco. I never have crisco on hand. My mother uses that spray that combines flour and non stick goo. I think it's called Baker's Joy. Hope this helps.

You shouldn't use wax paper for baking, use parchment paper. If you don't have any, common typing or copy paper will work, just tends to stick to cakes a little bit but works.

Good question! I like to use either stick butter, or if i have any, cooking oil. You can also find oil in a spray bottle. I hope this is a helpful answer.
