I'd really like to see the term used in context. I might have more luck researching it. I had a difficult time finding the term, let alone what it might mean. However, I did manage to come up with the following information. But it may not be what you are looking for. The info I found suggests it might be an old unit of measure. An English acre was a square of about 70 yards each way. A Scotch acre, about 77 yards. And an Irish one, 88 yards. (considerably larger than the other two) So perhaps "Irish 88" is a reference to an Irish acre? If this doesn't sound right, post a follow-up to let me know how the term is used - like under what circumstances, or use it in a sentence to give it context. i agree. the context is needed. if its just a screen name, it could be an Irish "nazi" ... 88 being related in the white power movement to "heil hitler" I presume this refers to the Dublin 1988 Millennium. In 1988 Dublin celebrated the 1000th anniversary of it's founding in 988. Dublin's great in '88!!!
