It means to go to the restroom or toilet.

This phrase is usually used by men, (I don't really understand why) but that has been my experience. Most females don't uses this wording. So, you are right on the mark, but maybe this gender gap could be explored? Does anyone know why it seems that more males use this phrase than females? I don't know if this type of thing should be taken to the discussion page or not?
