18k means that it is 18 karrot however, the GE indicates that it is GOLD ELECTROPLATING this means that there is a very thin layer of gold over a base metal. The SA is a makers mark and due to the fact that there is so many makers out in the world it would be very hard to determine which maker made your ring.

"GE" stands for gold electroplate, meaning that it may not be a true gold ring. Have a licensed jeweler make that determination to be certain.

What does 18k gersc stamped on the inside a diamond ring mean?

A: The GE usually stands for Gold Electroplate. The rest is the initials of the designer.Gold Electroplating is done by taking a silver ring, plating it with copper, and then plating the copper with 18kt gold. The gold (18kt) is so thin it essentially has no value. Jewelers will not generally size a GE ring, if it is sized you will see the plating flake off, and there will be three colours visible, the gold plating, the copper, then the silver. A GE ring is essentially costume jewellery.

If a ring has 18K GE and an A with a circle around it on the inside of a ring what does it mean?

18kt g.e means gold electroplate...not worth a whole lot. the symbol is of interest. look at it more closely. are you sure it is an A inside a circle and not a masonic freemason symbol? the freemason symbol, if small can look like an A and the circle is actually a blue lodge order symbol sometimes used in conjunction with the base freemason symbol. some of the older masonic rings were made of cheaper materials. is there any ornamentation on the top or sides of the ring?

What is 18k ge stand for is this real gold?

I'm pretty certain the "ge" stands for gold electroplate, which indicates that the item is NOT pure gold but 18k gold plating over a base metal (usually jewelers brass).

What is 18kgea mean?

The 18k means 18 parts of 24 parts are pure gold. GE means it the gold is electroplated, and the A would be the makers mark.
