Literally, agnostic means "without knowledge". Agnostic usually refers to those that claim agnosticism.

Generally, agnosticism is the view in which it is unknown or unknowable whether supernatural forces, such as gods and other deities, are at work. Most agnostics will neither claim that God or gods exist nor will they claim that they do not exist.
