When a case comes to High Court/Supreme Court the case will be first listed and tracked with "Pending" Status, when argument for the case happens and Honorable Judge listens the arguments and feel that he can take a decision on the case then the Judgment Will be reserved and the case will be disposed.
The case disposed doesn't mean that it is in favour of the appealed or not it only means that the case has been heard and a judgment has been made.
It means that the judge has dismissed the case. That would mean that the judge found there was not enough evidence for the case to go forward.
Case disposed (it went to trial). Both sides contested (disagreed) at trial. Judgement of the outcome is pending.
The disposition of a judgement is the Courts or Judge's ruling. Case disposed as indication that a trial is over and case was thrown out. As in disposal.
That means the case was decided and a judgment was entered. The case is closed.
See discussion page.
Concluded - Finished - Done with - Over.
A court disposition is is the ultimate adjudged result/finding of the case.
The disposition date refers to the date that the case was disposed of, or adjudicated, in court. If you enter a plea, the disposition date will be that day. If you have a trial, the disposition date will be the date that the jury reads their verdict.
Make inquiry at the Clerk of Court's office for a clarification and to ascertain that you are mis-understanding the disposition. A case can NOT be both 'active' yet 'disposed of' at the same time.
Go to the clerk's office in the court where the case was handled. Ask to review the file. You'll find some kind of disposing document, either an order, a verdict, or a disposition or some other document that shows how the case was disposed of.
Disposed means the case is closed. It could either be a final judgment or dismissed.
Not really enough info to answer -BUT- it sounds like it means that a FINAL DISPOSTION has not yet been entered in the case.
It means that whatever the outcome of the court case was - that is the final finding and judgement.
If a court case is listed as having been "disposed", it would indicate that the case is closed due to resolution and no other action is necessary.
The disposition is the ultimate outcome of a case. What that means in a particular context would depend on the case's unique facts.
In a generic usage as an adjective it means: eager, inclined to, prone, ready, receptive, willing, all meaning having a certain tendency (i.e.: The court is 'disposed' to look favorably upon the motion.) In this sense, disposed is related to an inclination or tendency.AnswerAccording to Black's Law Dictionary: a final settlement or determination
