How much does it cost to get set up with ADP Open Invoice?

depends on what you're doing with it. and even then, it depends. if you're a vendor invoicing, it's free (the invoice receivers absorb the cost from ADP on individual transactions). unless you want to set up some sort of EDI or automatic feed from your AR system. for that cost varies from hosted services which perpetually charge monthly volume fees to one time IT setup costs for customized solutions. For a company's AP department, the cost is in developing how you're going to feed the invoice data from OpenInvoice into your accounting system. sky's the limit. after you get that developed, OpenInvoice is a hosted solution, so you'll pay a contracted fee on each invoice. that fee is based off your volume and negotiated with their sales department. how's that for an answer that tells you nothing?

What is bank account analysis?

Bank account analysis is a fee for services billing process used by banks for commercial customers. Just like in most billing systems, a fee is charged to a business banking customer for all of the services provided by the bank. Each of the bank services provided typically carry a per/unit price, a volume, and a charge for the line item service. The total of all the line item service charges make up the "Total Charges Before Credit" amount. In bank account analysis, the bank typically allows a credit to be applied against the total service charges due. The credit is normally based upon the monthly average positive collected balance and an earnings allowance rate "allowed" by the bank. The credit offset is used to reduce (or wash out) the amount of fees owed by the customer. Very high average balances for a commercial customer will often wash away account fees completely. If it were not for this earnings allowance the entire account analysis process would be very simple because every account would simply pay for every service provided. In Europe, bank accounts typically do not have an earnings allowance at all and as such, the term "bank services billing" is used to describe the account billing process. There is typically a statement for the account analysis results to illustrate each months balances, credits, and remaining fees due. There is also a standard electronic format for account analysis statements known as the 822. The 822 is an EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) standard / transaction set number under ASC X12 (The American National Standards Institute which develops and maintains EDI standards). There are a number of business intelligence tools or bank fee account analysis systems designed to read and process 822 files (e.g. Chesapeake Systems / Weiland-BRMEdge). 822 files can often be imported into industry standard ERP Systems as well (e.g. PeopleSoft). These business intelligence systems are very sophisticated and highly complex but there are also more simplistic tools designed to simply open and parse 822 files for use within applications like MS Excel (e.g. Parse-O-Matic / excelamate).
