If the make and model number of the oven had been given in it, this question would be much easier to answer.. If you don't have the User's Operating Guide you could try two things:. go online to the oven manufacturer's web site, to see if they publish a Guide there, or . call in at a local stor…e which sells that make of oven and just ask them if they can tell you the answer - or they may even have a User's Operating Guide you could look at! . You don't say which make or model it is so it's impossible to help you further here without knowing the make and model number of your oven. ( Full Answer )

An oven is a heated box that cooks food this invention also is usually divided up into two sections!
The F2 Error code means the oven has detected an excess temperaturecondition. Most often this is due to a bad temperature sensor - thesensor costs about $75 from an online repair site. How to remove and replace the temperature sensor. In most GE ovens, when you open the door, you'll see the rod-shap…ed temperaturesensor sticking out of the back wall at the upper left. It's aboutsix inches long and a bit more than 1/8" in diameter, held in placewith two screws. Turn off the circuit breaker (built-in ovens) or unplug the rangebefore attempting the replacement. The replacement sensor will come with instructions, but basicallyit's a matter of removing the sensor, pulling out the wires towhere they are connected and disconnecting them. You may have tosnip. The replacement sensor will come with high-temp wire nuts tohold the new connection. Polarity doesn't matter; it's a straightresistance thermocouple. Hook it up, be sure you poke theconnections back far enough so that they're on the other side ofthe thermal insulation and not resting against the back of theoven. If you continue getting the F2 error after replacing the sensor, then the problem is likely in the control module - this is thecircuit board behind the keypad and clock. You'll need to remove the decorative bezel to get behind thecontrol panel. Remove screws and set off parts in order - it's notcomplicated. Once the bezel is off there are two more screws thathold the panel in place. Then you can lift the panel up about ahalf inch and pivot it forward toward you. You'll see a bunch ofwires going to a circuit board. On the panel you will notice some black plastic boxes that say"Potter & Brumfield" on them. These are relays. Check therelays - slide the black plastic cover straight up to expose thecoil and the contacts. The coil, when energized, closes thecontacts - look at all the relays. You can manually close thecontacts with your finger (be gentle). If the contacts of one ofthem are stuck, they might be welded together. You can fix theproblem by prying apart the welded contacts gently with a knifeblade. Take some time to gently polish the relay contacts with afolded bit of fine grain sandpaper - this will get some more lifeout of them. Be gentle and careful - the relays aren't complicatedbut if you bend the contact or rip it out, you'll have to replacethe controller, which will set you back a couple hundred dollars. If you unstick and burnish the relays, they will probablyeventually weld together again as the rough spot will spark, butwhen you burnish them with sandpaper they should be good for somemore life before they need to be replaced. If the problem isn't the temp sensor or welded relay contacts thenthe problem is obviously somewhere else, but temp sensor and relaycontacts will account for the lion's share of F2 errors. Once again, be safe, be careful, be gentle. Ovens are not verycomplicated and they're tough, but always exercise care. Alwaysdisconnect electricity before messing with them. ( Full Answer )

The general meaning of "sensor cooking" usually involves using a microwave compatible temperature probe to cook with. Some microwaves have a thermocouple temperature probe that can be plugged into a jack in the cavity of the oven. This (temperature) sensor can tell the control unit in the microwave …when the internal temperature of the food item has reached a preset point.. Only the factory sensor should be used with a given oven to avoid problems. There are some generic replacements are available and they will work properly and safely if they are the "correct" ones. Consult a microwave technical expert for advice. ( Full Answer )

To break gnarly wind under a blanket occupied by two or more people (this is better achieved with 10 or more people) Steps to achieve a Dutch Oven. 1: occupy space in a bed already being occupied. 2: get under covers. 3: break gnarly wind. (Category 4 shart or better is highly recommended fo…r successful Dutch oven.) 4: grab covers. 5: pull covers tightly over all cooccupants in bed. (this will be difficult and you likely get hit.) 6. Scream "Dutch Oven!" 7. Hope no one gets bitey or has a cheese grater. 8. Take shower. (If Catagory 4 or higher Shart was achieved take two.) 9. Find new friends. ( Full Answer )

The most likely cause of this error is a bad connection on the ribbon connector from the digital display to the mother board. To fix , unplug the power source. Find where your ribbon connectors are and disconnect them. Probably located behind a removable metal panel that comes off with small square …bit driver. Usually there will be two, one on each side of the mother board. This is done by pulling on the two tabs to release the tension then gently pulling out the ribbon connector. Clean the contact points with isopropyl alcohol and a soft bristle tooth brush and allow to dry fully before reconnecting. Put the panel back on then plug stove back in. Should work. If not unplug and wait one minute and try again to reset the mother board. If still does not work could be a bad motherboard. ( Full Answer )

Other postings tell you that an F2 code means a bad temperature sensor and tell you how to fix it. Here I tell you how to get around it with no labor or cost. I keep two 2-liter bottles of ice in my freezer. When my wife needs to use the oven for an extended length of time we rest the two bottles of… ice on top of the control panel and they balance on it and the wall behind the stove. Viola! We never get the F2 code when we do this. We first tried this trick last Thanksgiving (2011) and have used it many times since then (it is now May 2012) and we never have a problem when we do this. When we don't do this we still experience ethe F2 problem. So it seems to work well for us. No expensive parts. No labor. And NEVER, EVER will we buy another General Electric appliance again. Bad line means the wiring or control board received a power surge. The display will flash bad line and also beep annoyling loud until the oven is shut off. Flipping the circuit breaker may clear the problem, but to be extra safe have an electrician check it out.

The trick to gaining access to the screws that hold the handle is that the door shell, to which the handle is attached, must be separated from all of the inner door assembly that fits inside it. The assembly is held inside the shell by means of three screws that are visible at the end of the door wh…en you pull it open, and by plastic tabs that are of one piece with the shell and protrude into the metal frame of the inner assembly. First remove the three screws, and then begin pulling the inner assembly out of the shell. The plastic tabs that hold it in must be lifted out of the way. This can be done by inserting a screwdriver between the shell and the inner assembly and prying the shell away, being cautious not to pry more than necessary to avoid breakage. Start near the upper corner near the open end (not the hinge end). Look carefully into the opening as you pry it away, and notice small whitish-gray tabs. Starting with the one closest to the corner, pry it away enough so that you can begin pulling the inner assembly out. When that one has cleared the tab, move to the next tab and pry it free of the frame, etc, working your way toward the hinge. Then do the bottom, beginning again with the corner at the open end. When the shell separates from the inner assembly, you will see the screws that hold the handle on. The hardest part will probably be to start getting the inner assembly out of the shell. One suggestion might be to insert an awl (or a nail) between the shell and the inner assembly at the location of the upper screw you removed, poking the awl into the screw hole, and gently prying as you also pry away the top corner tab with a screwdriver. Note: I learned this after much difficulty of trying to remove the inner plastic trim as the first step. In the process I broke the trim and some of its retaining tabs. My recommendation, therefore, on this particular model, unlike other advice you may have received that might work with other microwaves, is to leave this plastic trim in place. Once the inner assembly is removed from the shell, the trim can be easily removed if necessary, but if all you are doing is replacing the handle, it is probably not necessary. ( Full Answer )
