If the bearing has gone bad, it can sound like a high pitch squeal --similar to squeaky breaks. If it is the bearing, the squeal will stop as soon as you turn the car off. If it continues, then the sound your hearing is the high pressure escaping from your overheated cooling system which sounds very similar.
It will more than likely leak not make a funny noise. They have a releif for pressure when they go bad.
It feels like your running out of gas
my water pump just went out and i thought that the squealing was my belt but turned out to be my water pump and the fact it was leaking anti-freeze. so yes
Bad bearing on a belt driven accessory? i.e. alternator, water pump, P.s. Pump etc.? Blower motor?
When a water pump is bad it will leak. There is a hole in the pump were water will leak out of.
yes and no, if the water pump seals are bad antifreeze will leak from the weep hole on the water pump, but it is possible for the pump to go bad and not leak at all.
water pump bad needs replaced
It is rare for a water pump not to work however a water pump going bad will leak coolant and can be noisy from bad bearings.
The use of regular water creates sediments and bad function of the water pump bearing.
If a water pump is bad they usually leak coolant
A good sign of a water pump going bad is noise. It usually makes a grinding sound. Another sign is antifreeze leakage around the water pump. Some manufacturers put a small hole on the top side of the pump so that when the bearings fail coolant leaks out from this hole. Another good sign is high water temp gauge. When the water pump goes bad it fails to do its job of pumping coolant through the engine, hence the high water temp gauge. Hope this helps.
Might just be the bearings in the front wheels. Check that. Also, a smart thing to check will be the water pump, if the pump is bad, makes it sound like the front main bearings in the engine are bad. And, hopefully there is nothing wrong with the engine. Good luck.
