A distemper shot prevents your cat from getting a virus that could kill them. Feline distemper causes respiratory infection, gastrointestinal infection, and can affect the central nervous system. The shot keeps them protected from the virus which spreads easily.

it's just a vaccine to protect them from contracting the distemper virus. It doesn't control their temper or anything. Some dogs, though, may experience side affects like slightly aggressive behavior but only for a short while after the shot is administered.

A distemper shot is a shot given to puppies to prevent them from getting distemper, which can be fatal. It is then given annually as a booster shot.
