The dove is the traditional emblem of the Holy Spirit. The dove brought the olive branch to Noah; symbolic of God's covenant with man. The dove appeared at the baptism of Christ. The dove represents grace and the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit.

well, I am from India.As I recall in Italian language dove means a kind of bird. Dove, who represents peace has white colour. White is pure colour, it also represents in India the 7th chakra in humans, a connection with holly spirit. Dove was a long time ago in Europe a post messenger. White is also a doctor colour.Therefore Dove can symbolize The RECEIVER to opposite of black, which represents sender. White colour combined with....etc.I like your question.
