What does a flay do to a note?

1) its actually, how many BEATS in and 8th and whole note. 2) there are 4 beats in a whole note 3) there is 1/2 a beat in an eighth note

you can put as many notes as you like in a 8th note. 2 8th notes=i quarter note so, 4 8th notes=two quarter note
