It is in your owners manual. It means your brake pads are just about worn out and need to be replaced. It also means that the brake wear warning sensor located on the front left or right rear....or both...wheels WILL need replacing, since it is a self-destructive sensor that is "eaten" by the brake rotor when it gets this low. One of them MAY be OK....but ONE of them is definitely pooched, otherwise, the warning light wouldn't have come on.
