Answer: By Jesus Christ, God's son.

Admit you are a sinner.

Believe that Jesus is God's son and died for you.

Confess your sins to him and ask his forgiveness.

If you have a Bible here are some verses to look up:

1 John 1:3, John 3:16, Romans 5:8, Romans 8:38-39, Romans 3:23-24, Romans 10:13, Acts 4:12.

Also, to help you better understand more about God then I would encourage you to read Romans, it is found in the New Testament and if you look in the front of your Bible their will be a list of the books in The Bible. Just look for the name "Romans" and you should read all of it, but that is up to you.

Oh, and remember that it is NOT by works that you or anyone else was saved, but by Jesus. For he said, "No one can come through the father except through me." On the one hand we say we must do this and we must do that , then we also claim salvation is of the lord lest any man shall boast. I say we let God himself give an example to explain what he means by this statement . Well then we come to lazarus, he was dead for four days when God decided to save him. What did he do to get saved ? Nothing he was dead, as we all are. We are all dead in trespass and sin, salvation is of the lord. Study your bibles, there is but a short time left.

One cannot pray for salvation, though every man will receive salvation by grace alone without obedience to gospel law, excepting the sons of perdition. In their case they will return to their own place.

If one is bowed down with sin, then that person can pray for guidance from the Holy Spirit to help them on the path of repentance. Salvation only comes to those who have not committed the most grievous of sins, that of murder. All of mankind will receive salvation in one of the "Mansions" of our Father in heaven where they will be reunited with their bodies, to live forever in that kingdom they have earned for themselves.

A person must repent of all their sins and forsake them entirely. They must obey all of the commandments, not only in deed but in thought as well, for our unrighteous thoughts will condemn us.

Full salvation is attained by virtue of knowledge, truth, righteousness, and all true principles. By obeying every word the proceedeth forth from the mouth of God.

Living gospel principles can be difficult at times, especially when we have so much of the world trying to turn us away from doing good. One must take up their cross, gird up their loins with righteousness and put on the whole armour of God.

'For whoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.'

Romans 10 v 13

The prayer for salvation is a simple prayer from the heart. There is no set form for this as each person is different. A heart prayer is always better anyway as God is against 'vain repetition.'

The thief on the cross, and Peter when sinking on the Sea of Galilee are two examples of heart prayers. The thief said something like this, 'Lord remember me when you come into your kingdom.' Peter cried out 'Lord save me.'

The prayer for salvation pre-supposes an awareness of need for it and a desire to turn away from wrong (sin) and to live a different life of turning from self and surrendering to God.

Such prayer is usually addressed to Jesus as he is the Savior.

'Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is no other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.'

Acts 4 v 12

Salvation is irrelevant to many religions as they deny the real existence of sin. The Bible clearly teaches about sin and its awful reality and tragic results. It also makes clear the need for a Savior.

'There is none righteous, no, not one.' Romans 3 v 10 (see also v 11 - 18)

' .. for there is not a man that doesn't sin...' 1 Kings 8 v 46

'All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned everyone to his own way; and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.'

Isaiah 53 v 6

'But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind have carried us away.' Isaiah 64 v 6

Since the need was great the remedy was drastic. It cost Jesus, God's only begotten son his life. Praying for salvation makes the remedy which is available to all to be applied to the individual who asks for it.

Answer

No one in the Bible ever Got saved by praying anything. The examples given in the bible of conversions (The thief on the cross, The phillipian jailor, the ethiopian eunich and the house of Cornelius) demonstrate conclusively that a sinner receives Christ as his savior by BELIEVING that Christ died for his sin and that God raised him the third day that is the Gospel of 1 Cor 15 :1-7

When a sinner BELIEVES the gospel from the heart he gets saved it has NOTHING to do with a Prayer, examine the following scriptures and you will see that when one BELIEVES that God counts him righteous by BELIEVING alone. Romans 4:5 "But to him that worketh not, but BELIEVETH on him that justifieth the ungodly HIS FAITH IS COUNTED FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS" when the Phillipian jailer asked Paul what must I do to be saved Paul said " BELIEVE on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved and thine house" and that's ALL PAUL SAID. The thief on the cross said "Jesus Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom" He BELIEVED on Christ in his heart, his CONFESSION was an INDICATION of his faith. Rom 10:14

There is a heresy that's been going around that teaches a sinner gets saved by asking Jesus to save them or come into their heart .....aside from the fact that NO ONE in the bible got saved that way (They were saved when they BELIEVED Rom 1:16, 4:5 5:1 Ephes 1:13 Ephes 2:8-9) In Ephes 3 the bible says that Christ comes to live in your heart BY FAITH-the instant you believe the Gospel.

Many quote Romans 10:13 which says "Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved" but ignore Romans 10:14 which says "How shall they call on him in whom they have not believed?" The fact that they confess Christ from the heart or call on him in general is an indication they HAVE BEEN saved. Rom 10:14 clearly demonstrates that when Paul talks about a sinner Confessing Christ with the mouth or calling on the name of the Lord he IS NOT saying men get saved that way, (In spite of what the preacher said) he is saying that a true confession or calling is an INDICATION of faith in the heart... not the way you receive Christ, you receive him by BELIEVING the Gospel in your heart. Many are in hell who prayed the sinners prayer, Christ saves men because they BELIEVE the Gospel that he died in our place taking the penalty of death for OUR sins and God raised him from the dead three days later when we BELIEVE this truth GOD imputes Christ righteousness to us because we BELIEVED. see 1 Cor 15:1-10 - Many so called preachers are as lost as a bat in hell and quote ephes 2:8-9 but don't believe a word of it the verse says a man is saved BY FAITH.

I have an entirely different take on my own salvation. Except where contained in standard prayers, I never pray to be saved. I feel that it's my own responsibility to do what is necessary to reach the kingdom of heaven. However, being human, there are a number of ways that I'm too weak to do the right thing or may not always know what the right thing is, so I pray for help with my human shortcomings. I pray be simply asking. When the matter is mundane or a small matter that I can't seem to overcome, I ask the 'saints' in general. Not saints like St. Elizabeth or St. Jude, but all of the people who once lived on earth and have achieved salvation for themself, no matter who they were as humans on earth, and may be able to help me with this problem. If the matter is more compelling, I ask Jesus' mother for help; since matters most compelling to me relate to the people close to me. I feel the Mary specially cares about family pain or guilt. Only occasionally I pray to God to help me be a better person; I usually save my prayers to God to thank him for all of the gifts and benefits, large and small, that have been bestowed on my life.

You must accept Christ as your Lod and saviour. To do this, believe in your hearts and mean every word which I write "Father in the name of Jesus, I thank you for your son Jesus Christ. I confess all my sins (confess all your sins). the sins I know of and the ones I do not know of as I forgive the sins of the people (say there names and forgive them). Father, I accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and God over my life and Holy, spirit come into me as I have confessed these through faith in Jesus Christ alone". Now, you are saved and all your sins are washed away. Now, find a Christian Apostolic church and start going to mass. Find out what to do to be bapitised again

Can a Muslim pray for salvation for non Muslim?

Yes Muslims can pray for salvation of their fellow human beings. As long as the non-muslim is alive there is always the possibility of him recognizing the truth of god and his commandments thus attaining the possibility of salvation. However after the death of the non-muslim it is disapproved to pray for his salvation as in his life time he never recognized god his correct commandments therefore there is no opportunity for salvation. Some scholars do take a slightly different view about it though. Of course we do not know god's will so we cant say for sure if a person will attain salvation or not.
