A turkey is a bad or boring show. One that is so bad it will probably close soon. The term Turkey comes from Vaudville Theater, where they would put on a show every day, even on Thanksgiving. The Thanksgiving shows never included the good acts, as they were off celebrating, so you had a whole show of boring loser acts, which became known as Turkey Day Shows, or just Turkeys.
