A white blood cell count of 2.8 means that it is too low which is an abnormal low. This might be caused by a number of things with the most common one being pharmaceutical drugs. You should seek medical attention immediately.

WBC count has a normal range which is different from hospital to hospital, but are similar from place to place. A normal WBC count out of the Hematology text book I own is 4.5-11.5. Some people run a little high naturally, other causes of an increased WBC count would be things like infection and in extreme cases leukemia.

It means you need to see a hematologist. Your white blood cell count is seriously low and you need medical attention. If you are not getting chemo treatments, something is causing your WBC count to be way off. The other main cause aside from Chemo treatments is an auto immune issue, such as lupus or other auto immune issues. Foods that help increase white blood cell count are yoghert, garlic, oysters, pot roast, dark turkey meat, pumpkin, squash seeds, shitake mushrooms, spinach, carrots, strawberries, Oranges, melon, fish oil, legumes cereals asparagus, brocolli, cauliflower, boiled eggs. milk, figs. There are drugs that can be admistered to stimulate the bone marrow to produce more white blood cells.

Is 11.2 white blood count is there need to worry?

The normal white blood cell count is between 4-10 * 109/ liter. So your white blood cell count is slightly higher than the normal range. Some people do go up to 11, and are not experiencing any problems. Your doctor may want to rule out any infections, but if you are otherwise feeling well - you should not be concerned.

Yes, RA can cause elevations on the white blood cells. So can virues, stress, and other things. I have RA and every time i get a CBC (complete blood count) I have elevated white blood cells.
