check gauges in any car means that a gauge is showing something abnormal, it could be high or low oil pressure, coolant temperature high or another gauge is reading something abnormal. check what it is and it could be anything from a fluid being low or high (i recommend making sure all your fluid levels are correct then looking again) if it's coolant temperature then change your thermostat and anything else or if it keeps happening then take it in to a garage and let them find the problem, in my dad's truck it was a faulty oil pressure sending unit, which is a hell of a job to replace but that was the only problem. so yeah check fluids, change thermostat if needed, have sensors checked and replaced if needed but yeah it all costs money
