A problem with eating raw eggs, especially those from hens raised in cages on corporate-type farms, is the danger of possible salmonella contamination. Those from pasture-fed hens would be less likely to carry such contamination. Another issue, though, with the consumption of raw eggs is that they cause a deficiency in your body of biotin, a B vitamin.
