They don't mean anything, as they would have taught you the meaning along with phonics if there was one, which there isn't. Our letters only mean anything if they are combined in such a system as to be understood by a people to be a language. However, some letters, such as "a" , "I", and "O" can be used as words too, though they are exceptions, such as the single letter words in Scrabble, which still doesn't make sense to me.

First of all, it is interesting that a number of questions have been asked regarding the meaning of each letter in certain words.

Second, it should be understand that this kind of question seems pretty hilarious to most people!

Third, there is an obsessive quality to the question itself.

However, given the above, there is some history to back up this kind of question.

Before alphabets existed (Hebrew, Greek, Latin, etc.) pictographs and hieroglyphics were used. Each single hieroglyph or pictograph carried meaning. This "tradition" carried over to languages which developed letters (sometimes relating to certain depicted images). For example, in Hebrew, the four letters which depicted the word God were YHWH (as translated to the Greek, in the Bible). It was perceived that only these four letters could invoke the omnipotent, omniscient, unknowable concept that was God. Furthermore, some scholars noted that the four letters, YHWH, invoked the four directions (north, south, east and west) and/or the four elements (fire, earth, air, and water), and even presaged the four Gospels of the New Testament!

Some neurobiologists have pointed out that in early childhood development, the first representative pictures that are understood by toddlers are singular representations, at first, with compound ones (more than one picture ... or letter) coming later in development, of course.

At any rate, there does seem to be a reason why certain individuals take a more "simple" or what some would call a more "primitive" approach to words and letters.

My bias is that it requires a combination of somewhat obsessive personality traits with a relative dearth of functional literacy, along with some degree of magical thinking or religiosity to focus, repeatedly, on these kinds of questions. The alternative explanation to this is humor!
