What does foliate mean? In: Name Origins |

[Edit]
Foliate has to do with leaves. (Hence the foliage of autumn when the leaves turn different colours.)
But there are other and quirky definitions of the word, having to do with the coating of a mirror with a thin layer, or to decorate with a thin layer, or to split into thin, leaf-like layers.
