What does folie a deux mean? |
A 2008 music album by the band "Fall Out Boy" is titled "Folie à Deux". In an interview regarding the album, Patrick Stump reveals that "Folie à Deux" comes from the French psychiatric term basically meaning two independently crazy individuals sharing a sense of inhumanity and making each other crazier. The record's about the current state of the world, humans' selfishness and not accepting what they have. The band uses the term metaphorically and in a non-serious manner.
