Answer

Gasoline on the tongue presents more of a "mouth feel" and a smell than a typical taste, not really posesssing any of the flavor components sweet, bitter, salty, sour, and savory. Gasoline has a somewhat oily but sharply pungent, harsh taste, accompanied by an almost painfully strong aroma.

Needless to say, gasoline is highly poisonous when ingested, breathed, or absorbed.

This depends on the gas. Natural gas and liquid propane have sulfur added to them so people can detect a leak. Gas from humans smell that way mainly because of methane.

Propane doesn't have a smell. They put sulphur in propane so that when it leaks you know it is leaking.

In a way everything has an odor, humans just can not pick all of them up. For instance icebergs make an incredibly low noise that some animals hear but we cant.
