What does hydrocodone have in it?

Answer:
Pure hydrocodone -- a VERY rare prescription -- has no active ingredients in it besides hydrocodone. Note that drugs containing hydrocodone, such as Norco, Vicodin, etc., typically also contain APAP/acetaminophen, an NSAID.

Unlike Vicodin et. al, pure hydrocodone is a DEA Class II medication. It is typically prescribed for severe pain control in cases where Vicodin will not do, as the dose of APAP exceeds the recommended maximum before the desired dose of hydrocodone is achieved.
