first you get a stamp at the post office and ask how many you need you buy them, stamp them then in the middle of the package you put the address i the top left you put your address and then you send it to Ireland by the post office which you will havde to p[ay around $10.00 t osend it there.
Example:
Mr. Francis Flaherty
12833 Belgard Pl.
Dublin , Ireland [or Belfast, Nothern Ireland ] and the equivalent Zip code, available online or from your local Post Office.
You can step up to the Royal Mail Post counter and ask the clerk to sell you a stamp, buy the stamp, affix it to the postcard and drop it in the Royal Mail post box. Perhaps the clerk will even drop it in for you.
Ireland does not have postal codes, but there are some postal districts in Dublin with numbers ranging from 1 to 24. You would ideally need to know the postal district for the area you are posting to, though in some cases the letter would get to its destination just by the area name. Many of the area names or street names would be distinctive enough for the letter to reach the destination. O'Connell Street is Dublin's main street, and it is in what is known as Dublin 1, but either of the following would get it there:
Mr J. Smith
1 O'Connell Street
Dublin 1
Ireland
Mr J. Smith
1 O'Connell Street
Dublin
Ireland
Names of areas like Donnybrook, Ballsbridge, Rathmines, Artane, Cabra, Inchicore and many others could easily be put on a letter and still have the particular address found by the postal service without the postal district.
So something like these would work:
Mr J. Smith
1 Main Street
Donnybrook
Dublin
Ireland
Mr J. Smith
1 Main Street
Donnybrook
Dublin 4
Ireland
-------------------
Mr J. Smith
1 Main Street
Cabra
Dublin
Ireland
Mr J. Smith
1 Main Street
Cabra
Dublin 7
Ireland
However, if it all possible, find out the postal district of the area you are writing to. Once you have that, your letter should have no problems in reaching its destination.
The name of the person, the street they may live on, the town or area they are in and the county they are in. So for example, it could be something like this:
Mr Someone
1 Main Street
Some town
County Something
Ireland
Ireland does not use post codes, so the address would be sufficient as it is.
Via swiftpost using an post, or you could pay a professional courier to deliver it if money is no issue.
That will depend on where in the world you are posting from, which you have not specified. If you go to your local post office, they will be able to tell you.
