Early symptoms of appendicitis are much like indigestion, and usually ignored. Some time later, between 3 hours and 3 days, the pain becomes very localised to the right hand side of the belly button and becomes intense and continuous. Some people also experience: Loss of appetite preceding pain, nausea and vomitting, testicular pain. Appendicitis is particularly dangerous in pregnancy. Intense pain like that described above should be checked out by a physician as soon as possible.
