Cats are very affectionate, and if you have one, it probably loves you. If it rubs on you, it is showing that you belong to it, and it's probably telling that to other cats. Try giving your cat some attention, that may be why it's following you around.

∙ 13y agoOnce a cat followed me because I petted him. He almost followed me all the way home, and I always turned back to see him still following me. I guess they just feel like they need to follow you to be petted more, which probably feels like a big fat hug to a cat.

∙ 11y agoIf you fed it, then it probably thinks you'll give it more food - but don't get superstitious, black cats are seriously misunderstood!
They are just thought of as being witches cats and all that malarkey because they are black, and they are very good night-time hunters.
Just make sure you know weather it's a stray cat or a pet cat - if it's a pet cat then you might look like it's owner!
