If a car "bottoms out" it means that it has been in a situation where the underside of the car hits the road. If this condition continues, there will be severe damage to the vehicle suspension and if definitely a SEVERE safety hazard. Things that can cause a vehicle to "bottom out" are , poor driving habits (not slowing down for road hazards like speed bumps, holes in roads, etc) or bad suspension parets like struts, shocks, upper or lower control arms, bad sway bar bushing and end links.

If it only happened once, then it can probably be caused by road conditions but5 it is a symptom of something wrong. Get the car checked. For your own safety.

What is a science suspension?

A mixture in which small particles of a substance are dispersed throughout a gas or liquid. If a suspension is left undisturbed, the particles are likely to settle to the bottom. The particles in a suspension are larger than those in either a colloid or a solution. Muddy water is an example of a suspension e.g. the residue at the bottom of the container

What happens when bike suspension bottoms out?

Bottoming out means that the suspension has compressed as far as it can, and usually it doesn't mean that much. Suspension parts frequently have a rubber block that the mechanics fetch up against at full compression. But it will mean a harder landing that may either damage the bike or the rider.

What are the uses of suspension in chemistry?

In a pharmaceutical suspension, a suspending agent helps the drug stay in the body of your suspension thereby preventing caking at the bottom. One of the properties of a well-formulated suspension is that it can be easily resuspended by the use of moderate agitation.
