What does it mean if you think you're on your period but all you get is light brown spotting or light pink when you wipe?

It could mean that you are having implantation bleeding which is supposed to be light if in fact you are pregnant. It could be implantation bleeding or it could be spotting which can be caused by Birth Control. If you are too concerned, take a pregnancy test.

I have read that brownish discharge when wiping is a possible early sign of pregnancy, and it can also be a sign of infection. A home pregnancy test would help determain if pregnancy is the cause.

Chances are it's not anything serious. It in most cases is just old blood. I know it's gross but, fact.
Sometimes if it is ALOT of brown , then yes it may be a sign of pregnancy, but if it's just a little bit, old blood , that's all.

This is just normal spotting. Spotting is when small amounts of blood mix with discharge, dark brown just means the blood is taking time to leave the body and thus is going brown. There's no reason to think that this is anything unusual.

not nessecarily you can have a light or spotting like period for the first due period. in very rare cases you can get a light period for a few mounths or for the full pregnancy!!! if you you think you may be pregnant and have had a light period and other signs just take a test to be sure.

The colour can be pink/red/brown. Go to the doctors if your worried or go get a pregnancy test. From pink princess

If you have a negative pregnancy test, you are probably not pregnant. What makes you think it's not your period? (ie. did you have a pos pregnancy test earlier?)
