∙ 13y agoheartworms are a very likely cause. my dog is going through this RIGHT NOW!!! :( it is very very serious so get your dog to the vet now. if you have reason to believe it has lost too much blood check its gums. they should be the color of bubble gum, bright pink. if you press on theyre gums it should go white, but return to color in 1-3 seconds.
it could have also swallowed something sharp like pine cones, or sticks, even rawhide bones, if they swallow to large of a piece. the best thing to do is to get them to a vet so they can look the pup over and run some tests to make sure its not something more serious. good luck and i hope all turns out ok!
