What does it mean if your guinea pig is nibbling and licking your finger or hand?

[Edit]
Answer guinea pigs always nibble something to examine it if they dont know what it is and then they might lick you and taste salt then nibble you thinking your finger is food but it doesnt hurt and then they realise it is your finger so just lick you. also it can be a sign of affection and they like what you are doing!

Also nibbling can be a way your guinea pig is telling you it wants to go back to its cage to pee or eat.

Answer

If it is getting plenty of clean water and enough nutritious food, then it may just like the taste of your hand. Our skin can taste salty to animals. It may also be a sign of affection.

Answer

Guinea Pigs are social animals, they groom each other as a way to show affection. Nibblling and Licking you is called "grooming". Your little piggy is just showing you it likes what you are doing and being friendly as it would to another piggy!

my guinea pigs do that whenever they have to go to the bathroom.
