Answer
It depends entirely on the age and personality of the guy saying it. Oftentimes it can be synonymous with pretty or even sexy when the person is trying to say it without coming on too strong.
Answer
There is knock-out beautiful, and then "cute." Cute means you are very attractive, but in a soft way. It's like comparing Meg Ryan with J-Lo or Sharon Stone. Some women can pull off good looks and are naturally sexy and then there are the cute girls that a lot of guys really like. It's a compliment!
Answer
There is a difference between "cute" and "pretty". A man typically describes a woman as "cute" if she exudes a more playful, "bubbly"-type personality; a girlish appearance (hairstyle, clothing style and accessories) and smiles and laughs openly and often. A woman generally described as "pretty" carries off a more polished and sophisticated look; the "classic" and classy descriptions would suit her. She dresses her age (no baring of mid-riffs and faded hip-hugger jeans in her 30s), and her make-up and hairstyle are well-put together and appropriate for the occasions (work, weekend, special events).
Answer
Well, I am a teenaged boy and in our generation if a guy says you are cute, they are implying that you have that certain glow. You are really smiley and laughy and when you laugh it makes the guy happy. If you want to know, just ask the guy, I'm pretty sure he would answer!
