What does it mean when a woman only moves on when she finds another man even though she is not happy in her current relationship?

[Edit]

Answer

Some men often feel they have the inside track on being with women and leaving them whenever they choose. Many women are like this. The human psyche has many reasons for how they feel about remaining loyal and devoting their time to one relationship. This doesn't make them bad people.

Some of these people "who run" are either afraid of commitment, are immature, have been hurt by someone in their past or simply just can't handle staying with one person too long. Then some people are just gysy type people and can't seem to stay with one mate." It would be nice if they got this particular piece of information on their lives out to their new mate in a hurry, but often the person that is the "runner" from the relationship isn't aware of why they trade-off one partner for another.

Consider yourself lucky. These types of people can really hurt their mates and it's best to find out now instead of later.

Answer

What it means is that she is not happy with herself and is doomed to make the same mistakes in her new relationship. If you aren't happy with you then how can you be happy with someone else? It may be a quick fix, but realistically speaking, quick fixes are not long term. They do not last. They are band aid solutions to the real problem. This woman should learn to stand on her own and try doing things for herself before entering a new relationship.

Answer

I think that it means that she has tried all that she can to possibly maintain her old relationship but either the ex's behavior or callousness towards the relationship or what ever, was no longer tolerable and she decided to find someone that will treat her better (or someone to spend her time with for the time being if she's codependent) . She may not be happy in the newer relationship because she is too focused on the one she just left. She could be happier if she weren't so focused on the past. I know that I am about to embark on this new relationship with this really great guy. (Well they all start off great) but I am feeling sad because I am still focused on what could have been with my ex. A woman can be in a new relationship and still unhappy because she is dwelling in the past. Hard advice for me to take, but forget about the relationship with your ex. If you are maintaining a friendship then, just stick with that and only that aspect of it with him. Nothing else. For this new relationship, it is not fair to your new guy. He will sense the unhappiness and will be the unfortunate victim of your baggage. You move because you have to basically.
