Cats will shed hairs approximately twice each year: Fall and Spring. In the fall, they shed their summer hair and there coats can take on a darker color. In the spring the opposite may happen.
Good periodic grooming of cats will help also. Most love to be brushed.
The cat problem have Allergies
Some cats malt which means the lose hair - some even lose hair more at a particular time of the year. But if your cat is losing more hair than usual and there are patches - you might want to take a trip to the vet. It could be allergic to something and be irritated.

Fleas may cause itching or hair loss in cats. Also ticks or other bugs may cause hair loss. Either that or your cat may have a skin disease or infection that can cause hair loss and itching in your feline friend.
Take it to the vet if it gets worse.
If the cat is losing the entire claw, you need to take it to a veterinarian, it may have an infection or something. If it is just thin pieces of the claws, then that is normal. Cats shed the outer layer of their claws normally, to allow new, sharper layers of the claws to be used. That's why cats like to scratch on things like furniture; it removes the outer layer of the claws, as well as sharpening the layer being used.
nothing, guinea pigs have layers and grow more fur in the winter. Then in the spring they shed. Also, older pigs shed their fur and may become bald.
They should NOT lose their fur. If that is happening, take it to a vet.
This can be caused by stress or by certain severe diseases. It is strongly recommended that you take your cat to the vet if he loses all his fur.
If your guinea pig is young, it is normal, since they are born with all of their fur and they would start to lose fur behind their ear as they age. For the past 8 years of having 4 guinea pigs, every single one lost hair from behind their ears as they aged. However, if your guinea pig is elderly, it could have mites and you should take it to the vet. 1-4 months is a good age to reassure yourself that losing ear hair is a normal way of a cavy's (guinea pig's) life.
My Guinea pig is also losing fur but they shed their fur so they can grow their winter coat. they start sheeding during the summer season (at the end of summer begining of fall). They will keep shedding though, so you do not have to worry about anything its all natural.
Nothing... just that it has a white ear. One of its parents is probably white or has white patches of fur.
Mites. Treat any pig with suspected mange mites with ivermectin.
Well, first of all, guana is the abbreviation of Guiana Island. Now you know what guana means. Second, a pig is a young swine that is not mature for it's age. So a guana pig is a pig that is from Guiana Island. Unless you mean guinea pig. A guinea pig means a small stout-bodied short-eared tailless domesticated rodent often kept as a pet.
it's horny.

An abyssinian guinea pig has Rossets in its fur such as the images below:
it can be losing fur due to stress or lack of vitamin C. I have a guinea pig that was given to me that hair loss and i read about it so i got some vitamin C stuff for her. If your guinea pig is still losing its fur after that then i would call a vet.
