As long as the guinea pig is not trying to get away from you, then this vibrating is most likely just a guinea pig purr and is doing so to show it is happy or content
Answer
My daughter's guinea pig vibrates when it hears a female's voice...when my husband talks to him, he doesn't vibrate, but when I talk or my daughter talks to him, he vibrates while we are speaking! We think it's because he's happy and feels comfortable around girls!
