Love means to have feelings about a different person than yourself..... to be attracted to someone you think is cute or hot or sexy. But when you love someone you can feel it. I know some people say that a heart is just a heart you cant feel anything from it but you can. And when you get that feeling you cant get rid of it. this person but yet i feel insecure. have fun being in love.

There are many different kinds of love of course.

The love you have for your best friend is supposed to be different from the love you have for your wife.

Unfortunately for people who have not accepted it yet, love is a verb.

It is the hardcore, difficult, loving things you do (patience, kindness, listening, helping, compassion etc. ) for the people around you on a completely unconditional basis.

You practice it at your home, at work, while walking past people in the street.

Love is not about buying someone flowers, nice presents or charming him or her. That is courtship.

YOU are responsible for practicing love without expecting anything back.

Accept that you cannot change the other one, only yourself.

In our culture where we have the luxury of choosing our own life partners, you do have a choice to marry someone who practices love.

The problem is that most people are so brainwashed by TV, thinking that good sex, money and looks does it all and that there is somehow a way to bypass the hard work of loving.

That is why courtship stays a part of a romantic relationship.

Yes, I am still far from perfect in loving, but it is nice trying harder every day.

To me, love is feeling, not action:

Love usually leads to actions (courting, marriage, etc.)

though on some occasions it may lead to NOT acting:

For example, if your beloved is happily married you may decide

not to disturb his/her happiness and just silently pine for him/her.

To be honest love is when you find that one special person and you can't keep them off your mind. Its when you just want to spend every waking moment with them. Love is when you wake up to that person with the biggest smile on your face and when you kiss them their morning breath doesn't bother you. Its when you don't care what that person looks like as long as you love them for them.

If they do something you don't like it doesn't bother you so much if its the person you love doing it. Love is when you cant stop texting calling and writing to the one special person, its something so strong it doesn't have a weakness and no one or nothing can come between it. If you find that special someone you never want to let them go, they make you happy and you would do anything for them, you would accept everything about them the things you love and hate. And best of all you love them with all your heart and when you say goodbye to them you cry cause you already miss them.

Love is just a word but there is someone special that gives it a meaning. The official definition of the word love is "an intense feeling of deep affection."
