It is the number of goals your tean scores well your out there is the plus and minus is the number of goals you give up.Answer
plus/minus means being on the ice for goals....... plus is a positive you are on the ice when more goals are scored for your team, minus is when more are scored against while you are on the ice. e.g. a player is on the ice for 3 goals by his team and 2 against his team in one game he therefore has a plus/minus of +1, reverse it and hes on for only two by his own team and three by the opposing team he now has a plus/minus of -1
Answer
Plus/Minus is a basic way to rate a player. In theory, the higher a player's plus/minus, the better the player. Each player (except the goalie) who is on the ice when a goal is scored at even strength by the opposing team is rated a -1. Conversely, every player on the ice when their own team scores a goal (except the goalie and while at even strength) is rated a +1. A player who is rated a + 13 for example, has been on the ice for 13 more even-strength goals for than against. Shorthanded and powerplay goals are not counted in plus/minus ratings.
Answer
Hockey players are assigned a PLUS or MINUS stat, based on their play.
If a player is on the ice when HIS team scores a goal, he gets a PLUS point. If he is on the ice when the OTHER team scores a goal he gets a MINUS point.
A player with a plus 5 is a better payer, in theory, than one with a minus 5.
Answer
That's the plus and minus stats for a player. For example is a player is on ice and a team member scores a goal all the players on the ice for that goal will receive a plus, and the players one ice will receive a minus if a goal is aginst them, lets say mike Modano is on ice during a play and Brenden Morrow scores a goal well Modano as well as the other 4 players will receive a plus point, and if Mike Modano is on ice during play and a player from the opposite team scores a goal against Turco then they all will receive a minus. I hope that explains it. The E Im not sure
Answer
E is used in some box scores to denote "Even", or a plus/minus of zero.
Answer
Plus Minus is a ratio of the Goals Scored for and Goals Scored against the team when a player is on the ice. Naturally it is better to have a plus score in this area, but even really good penalty killers may have a negative number.
Players also receive a +1 if they are on the ice when their team scores a short-handed goal (because of penalties have less skaters than the other team), while the players on the ice for the team with the power-play(more skaters) that gave up the short-handed goal receive a -1.
