There are are five or seven types of psoriasis depending on which web site you visit. WebMD has a good article on it. If you suspect that you have it, see a dermatologist. Check that it is a dermatologist that specializes in psoriasis because some deal more with removing skin moles and doing beauty treatments.

Is there a diet for psoriasis that will safely help me?

Eating lots of leafy greens or zinc tablets can help improve psoriasis. The best thing you can do for your psoriasis, however, is to not eat any gluten. Oftentimes psoriasis or psoriasis-like symptoms occur because of an allergy to gluten.

I would look for that information on the website of a local hospital or a dermatologist. Health.com may also have information on the treatment of psoriasis.

If father is having psoriasis can his son get it?

Psoriasis is hereditary. Therefore, there is a possibility that the child would have it if his/her parents have a history of it. Since psoriasis is rare, we cannot determine if a skin disorder is a psoriasis type or not. Precisely, some skin disorders are psoriasis-like diseases but are known as dermatoses after the biopsy. Back to psoriasis, biopsy and lifestyle information is needed to determine the type of disease.

When a girl gets dots on her forehead and their not acne or pimples what are they Are they from puberty and she's only 10?

If they're red, they could be a minor skin condition like excema or psoriasis. I got psoriasis myself at a young age, twelve or thirteen or so. Excema makes your skin look red, in patches and psoriasis is when the skin grows back too quickly. Take a visit to the dermatologist, they'll setlle your fears =)

What could be wrong if you have scab like things on your scalp that seem to be getting bigger and you've had them for awhile now?

It could be psoriasis, there are shampoos that will help some (T-Gel) but a doctor can give you something better to help control it. Another thing to look for are little pits on your fingernails. If there are it is most likely psoriasis.
