How do you house break a cat?

The simplest way is to put it in it's litter box, especially after eating, sleeping or playing. Praise the cat when it uses the litter box correctly, and clean up any accidents quietly with a special spray or biological washing powder to remove the ammonia. Never punish the cat. Be sure to put the litter box(s) in a quiet, secluded place. A cat will not use the litter box if it feels unsafe or uncomfortable. Many cats, once they know where the litter box is, will quickly learn and use it without any problems.
