For the most part it's a derivative of the old fashioned count-off (1-2-3-4) to get the band started on the first beat of a song all together. A rapper announcing that the down beat of his rap is coming around. Or, it can be a reaction to a musical accent or a beat drop. Just like James Brown saying "Give it to me once, give it to me twice, give it to me three times" and having the horn players accent those beats. It's creative filler, but it's possible some rapper may have used it in a different context at some point.
rap means styles,loud,quickness,conforness,repetition,hiphop
Could you be more specific about what you mean? What is the context in which this 't' appears in music? And what sort of music are you referring to?
Your question is too general to provide an exact answer. However in times past the language of religion was "Latin" and it is likely that if by "sacred music" you mean sung chants, then these would be in Latin.

No!!! Katy Perry has been provoked into saying things she doesn't really mean, what with Miley Cyrus dissing her and saying she's a lesbian... etc. Either way, she rocks! (and you shouls know it, if you have ever LISTENED to her music.)
Refrain has two main meanings. Firstly, to abstain from saying something. Secondly, in music, a regularly recurring melody
When the term first came about in the Genre of music, yes. It was used instead of saying the whole word but now it's used for a type of group for people and as a music genre.

When referring to theme in music, it is most often the main line, or melody, that is outlined and is retreated back to multiple times in the work.
Try saying that 5 times fast! :)
