no, they do not Answer: As atheists are not an organization they do not have a single unifying symbol like the Christians cross. The US uses the Bohr atom symbol on the tombstones of atheists in military cemeteries and the scarlet "A" is used by many atheist blogs to show their orientation.

Answer:

There isn't really a symbol - Atheism is the absense of belief in a god, it isn't an alternative religion. The American Atheist Society has a symbol which is a representation of an atom with an "A" on the nucleus.

Answer:

Atheists are not an organization and do not have a "symbol". The US Military uses a graphic atom on the graves of atheist war dead buried in military cemeteries. Some atheist bloggers and writers have proposed a Scarlet A. Some people, confusing atheists with supporters of evolution even think the Darwin Fish is an atheist symbol

Answer:

It looks like the atom symbol, but is open-ended at the bottom. This symbolizes the open-mind of the atheist; a realization that all the information is not in to make a definite determination of the existence of a deity. See link above or see any CafePress atheist, agnostic, humanist, freethinker product.

There is no "atheist symbol"

The US military marks the graves of atheist dead with a stylized atom.

Some atheist bloggers use a scarlet letter A as a symbol

All of these are simply personal choices, none mean anything in particular or have any importance to all atheists.

Atheism is not a religion, nor is it an organization. So if you are looking for some counterpart to the cross of Christianity or the crescent of Islam, there isn't one. Since atheism is simply a neutral position on the existence of god(s) and describes what someone does not do rather than something they do do, it is like asking "What is the symbol for not collecting stamps?"

There is no universally accepted "atheist symbol" (like a Christian cross). Military graves are markers with a simplified Bohr Atom probably to indicate the grave of a person who believes in science over religion. Many atheist web sites use a red "A" as the word atheist starts with the letter A.The problem is that as atheism is not a body, union, group, organization, club or Bowling league it is difficult to vote on a symbol (The official atheist handshake, password, hairstyle, cook book and uniform have faced the same problem)

Atheism does not really have a symbol. However some atheist groups use a capital A with a sort of circle around it similar to the symbol for Anarchy. The two are not necessarily related.

What do the dots on atheist symbol mean?

There is no official atheist symbol. It comes from not having an organization like a religion to establish a symbol (or greeting, or handshake, or uniform, etc). Some atheist us a script "A" in red (no dots) for their blogs, the US Military marks graves atheist graves in military cemeteries with many representative symbols. They chose a stylized Bohr atom which does have a dot on it representing an electron for atheist graves.

An atheist is a person who does not believe in gods. What is the symbol of atheist and agnosics?

Lately, I am seeing a capital A with an almost complete circle for agnostics and a capital a with an atomic symbol at its base. I guess some people can relate to a symbol, you know, like a cross for Christians...

What is the ideal symbol for being non-religious?

The idea of having to have a label or a symbol for everything is not reasonable. There is no tag for being able to walk upright, having and using an opposable thumb, having your eyes side by side not vertical on your head. For the US Military use, graves of atheist soldiers are marked with a stylized atom in place of other religious symbols, many atheist blogs use a scarlet "A" Agnostics may use the symbol of the rligion they nomnally support, the atheist symbols or just a blank space.

What is the symbol for being non-religious?

There is no symbol for being non-religious just like there are no team logos for folks who do not participate in sports. Some Atheist blogs use a red "A" on their site to advertise their position in responses etc.

What is a symbolic sign of a ATHEIST?

Their is no single symbolic sign of an atheist. The capital letter A colored red (scarlet) is the single most used symbol by atheists however the majority of the atheist community doesn't use this as it is considered to be far to direct and controversial (as it is commonly known for representing adultery by the puritanism people in the book the Scarlet Letter).
