Not directly. It is a sin against your flesh and God says, more or less, that you are not to defile your body. To defile means to make foul, dirty, or unclean. It can also mean to pollute, taint, desecrate, debase, or sully.

Good scriptures to keep in mind are:

1 Corinthians 3: 16-17 - 16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

I Corinthians 6: 19-20 - 19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

2 Corinthians 7:1 - "Therefore, since we have these promises, beloved ones, let us cleanse ourselves of every defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in God's fear."

Since smoking can lead to the death of the smoker and those around them, even the Ten Commandments and verses on love apply:

Exodus 20:13 - "Thou shalt not kill."

John 15:12 - This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

Obviously, doing something that harms oneself or others unnecessarily is not done in love.

Well I think tht they are against it because it's a sin to smoke

when you become a christian generally most people stop all there bad habits and devote their life to god and obeying his laws though it does not say anywhere in The Bible that you can't smoke it does say follow the laws of man unless they go against the laws of god. plus smoking will kill you in the long run

AnswerActually, there is no referene to smoking in the Bible nor in the tradition of the Church, as smoking was not invented in those times.

It isn't a 'sin' to smoke. However, we read in scripture that our bodies are 'a Temple to the Holy Spirit' - in other words, we should look after them. This means that we should not take in anything that would deliberately physically harm our bodies. Therefore, for the Christian, taking illegal recreational drugs, smoking and excess alcohol is deemed unwise.

Note, however, that drinking alcohol in moderation is regarded as normal and good by most Christian denominations.

The Bible says absolutely nothing about men smoking. Smoking is bad for you, so is drinking, but does the bible say that we are supposed to live our lives as dull, safe and secure people? No. The bible says nothing about smoking at all. Oh, and also because TOBACCO IS FROM North America, IDIOT!

Although Marijuana is not specifically mentioned by name, conclusions have been based by some on Biblical principles. God has given us life. He has created certain herbs and plants for eating and healing. "Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. I have given you all things, even as the green herbs." (Genesis 9:3, NKJV). Also, Revelation 22:2:NKJV.

No, not directly, as this is a more modern practice in general. The smoking of tobacco or other materials was not known in the Near East in Biblical times.

However, many principles are taught via the Scripture about taking care of ones body which is called God's temple given to mankind. See link below:

The Bible says nothing about tobacco use because tobacco was unknown to those who wrote down and translated the Bible. Tobacco was brought to Europe only after Columbus traveled to America in 1492, long after the Bible was written down.

Does the bible say that all of the churches will mislead us?

The bible does not say that. In fact the bible (Hebrews 10:24-25) urges us to attend church. Of course the church we should attend should be a Christ believing, Christ teaching church of which the bible approves. Beware there are bad churches.
