Hi I am almost related to be a Hindu. There are lots of hindu gods. All I can say is that all of them have this is common : They have lots of jewlwery, they have really good power, most of them have 3 arms or 6 arms or 8 arms to move fast and carry stuff. Thats all i know. Maybe you can ask someone who is hindu.

The Ganesha was originally a human created by lord Shiva's wife Parvati made out of saffron. One day when Parvati was taking a shower, he guarded her, her husband Shiva came and forced him to let him in but Ganesha said no. Shiva cut off his head. Later Parvati made him realize his mistake and replaced his head with an elephants head. Thus the Ganesha was born. So that's what gives Ganesha his human body and elephant head, but no one knows how the Ganesha got all those extra arms.
