It's in San Francisco.. so not really. I say yes, the Golden Gate Bridge is located "near" Sausalito, California. It's on the other side of the bridge from San Francisco. Sausalito is a beautiful town! The view is amazing. You are able to see the bridge and all of the city of San Franciso's skyline.

Some people simply liked gray or black. The Navy disagreed because it would blend in with San Francisco's heavy fog therefore making it easier for ships to crash into it.
