We are all At Fault for sometimes letting our heart lead us when it comes to love. However, if the person we love is not good to us or has faults that we shouldn't put up with then we must over-rule the heart and use common sense. We MUST see reason and not let our heart or minds deny what is true. This defines a strong person that is independent, a true realist and can walk away from something that hurts them no matter how much it hurts. The pain does go away eventually and if we use reason rather than always following our hearts we'll do better in life and save ourselves a lot of time and pain.

AnswerHumans make lots of decisions with their hearts instead of their heads. Depending on the issue that's not a bad thing. Your character comes into play when you have to make a choice. AnswerWell, I would read "Mere Christianity" to understand this a little better. Sometimes what is logical is not what is right. For instance, it is not logical for one to jump into a freezing river to save a person because that person may be harmed in the process but on the other hand self sacrificing for others is something good and the character of bravery selflessness would be revealed and practiced. In that case one wouldn't be controlled by their emotion of fear for themselves. Really, we can't trust our hearts or our minds but we have to look outside ourselves at what is "right" and "true". I don't understand the "even when your mind tries to deny it" part...maybe you meant, when your mind gives you a reason why you shouldn't act according to what you know to be right, such as not jumping into the water because you would like to make sure to save yourself than the other person. Back to what is "right" and "true". People have a conscience and the person who made our minds, bodies and souls has given us his truth in The Bible as well as himself to give us knowledge and strength to do what is right and to develope his character! Point of the story, read your Bible, pray to God, seek council and don't trust your heart alone...have a reason why what you are doing and what you believe are "right" and "true".
