What does the talmud teach?

Answer:
The Talmud teaches hundreds of thousands of things. It is a vast compendium containing tens of volumes. It is the Jewish Oral Law, whose function is to explain and complement the Torah (the Written Law). It was set in its final form 1510 years ago by the greatest Sages of the time; and, among many other things, it provides final halakhic (Torah law) decisions in thousands of cases, as well as giving us the basis for determining the halakha in new areas that come up.
