What eats thoroughbreds?

Thoroughbreds eat the same thing as any other horse -- hay and grain, maybe some extra supplements -- but they generally eat a lot more than other breeds to to their higher activity level.

Totally depends on what the horse is doing. A thoroughbred acting as a paddock buddy will probably eat only grass and hey, a racehorse would be fed hay and a specific type of grain. But in general...

i think it can eat up to ten pounds a day. i know that's how much a quarter horse eats.

Thoroughbreds go through four to five flakes of hay or fifteen to twenty pounds of foods, grains.
