Dingos have no bad effect on the environment, they are Australia's top (and only land-based) predator, contrary to what the farmers tell you, they keep all the native, and feral animals under control. Where dingos have been removed from the ecosystem feral animals, like feral cats and foxes have gone up in population.
The populations of animals that dingos eat (small Australian mammals) would multiply until the grow to large. Then they would starve because they've eaten all the grass and seeds in the area. Then comes erosion, which, affecting humans, could cause landslides and a dust bowl-like situations. This will continue until the dingos come back, or until another predator is introduced.
