The atomic radii of members of the Group 1A (Alkali metals), increases down the group. Therefore Francium has the largest atomic radius of the Alkali metals.

However Fr has no stable isotopes, thus is not naturally occurring. So Cs-133 is the largest you can find.

How can you find out the atomic radii?

Look for a reference chart in a book or online. Look for a Periodic Table of the Elements that has the atomic radii on it.

What are on the periodic table is the greatest in atomic radii?

group 1 elements

The elements with the smallest atomic radii are found in the?

The elements with the smallest atomic radii are found in the top of the P block of the periodic table. Helium (He) has the smallest atomic radius. Francium, on the other side of the periodic table (very bottom of the S block), has the largest atomic radius.

Do the elements to the right of the periodic table have small or large radii?

Across a period the atomic size decreases. Hence elements in the right side of the periodic table have small size / radii.

Where are atoms with the largest and smallest atomic radii found?

The atoms with the largest atomic radii are found in the lower right side of the periodic table. Smallest atoms are found in the higher left part of the periodic table. He has the smallest atomic radii.

Which element has the largest size of atoms?

Atomic radii have not been measured or calculated based on theoretical principles for all of the elements. However, based on the information available in the wikipedia tables of atomic radii it would appear that the largest atom will prove to be that of francium.

What elements would have the largest atomic radii sulfur oxygen selenium tellurium?

This element is tellurium with a covalent atomic radius of 140 pm.

Why are the ionic radii of metallic elements smaller than the atomic radii of the same elements?

The ionic radii of metallic elements is smaller than its atomic radii, because the ion has less electrons. This gives it a smaller electron cloud and makes the atom smaller.

How does atomic radii increase or decrease in the table?

atomic radii increases from left to right in the periodic table from metal to non metal in the right

What group of elements have members of the smallest atomic radii for a given period?

Noble gases have the smallest atomic radius.

What is the change in atomic radii for the elements in period 2?

What happens to the atomic radii of the elements as a group is descended?

As we descend down the group, the atomic radii increases. This is because the number of shells increases.
