Much like North America, disabled people in the United Kingdom cannot be discriminated against due to their disabilities. This includes hiring and firing practices, and even the questions employers can ask regarding the disability. Employers must also make reasonable changes to the work environment, such as ramps, to allow people with disabilities the same access as able bodied people.
