Guam and Puerto Rico are both US Territories and the Philippines was granted independence after WW2. A Peace Treaty called the 1898 Treaty of Paris was signed on 10 December 1898.

Fighting ceased in 1902 with passage of the "Philippine Organic Act" by the American Congress where Filipinos were initially given limited self-government, including the right to vote for some elected officials such as an elected Philippine Assembly.

The Treaty of Paris (1898) dealt with the Spanish American War. The Mexican Cession was a part of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo which laid out the conditions ending the Mexican American War(1848). Fifty long and eventful years are between these two Treaties.
